The customer experienced a significant water damage event that compromised both their bathroom and an adjacent office area. They required immediate professional mitigation to address the water intrusion, prevent secondary damage, and safely handle hidden structural issues.
We established localized containment barriers with zippered access at the bathroom and office doorways to prevent cross-contamination. Commercial air scrubbers were deployed to maintain indoor air quality. After establishing initial atmospheric and moisture baselines, we performed targeted demolition, which included removing the bathroom vanity and countertop to access hidden wet drywall. Work was paused to safely address a bee nest discovered in the wall cavity. Once cleared, we completed the demolition, thoroughly HEPA vacuumed all debris, and applied a professional antimicrobial treatment to the exposed framing to prevent microbial growth. Finally, exterior insulation was secured, leaving the structure fully prepared for the final drying phase.
