The customer contacted us after discovering a hidden plumbing leak behind their walls that had migrated down into the basement. They likely noticed water damage or mold growth on their drywall and a concerning leak dripping onto the wooden joists directly above their electrical panel, requiring immediate mitigation to prevent safety hazards and further structural rot.
We performed targeted demolition to locate and access the source of the hidden plumbing leak, carefully cutting away the water-damaged drywall to expose the compromised PVC drain pipe and saturated fiberglass insulation within the wall cavity. After securing the immediate leak area, our technicians traced the water migration path down into the basement to assess the moisture damage on the wooden subfloor and joists positioned precariously above the electrical conduit and panel. We safely removed all compromised materials, secured the area around the electrical systems, and deployed professional structural drying equipment to thoroughly extract the trapped moisture and prevent secondary mold proliferation.
