The customer contacted us after a significant water leak—likely originating from the adjacent utility closet—caused severe moisture intrusion into their hallway, resulting in highly saturated hardwood flooring and subflooring that required immediate professional mitigation to prevent permanent structural damage.
We provided emergency water damage mitigation by first utilizing professional moisture meters to accurately map the extent of the water migration across the affected flooring. To salvage the existing floors where possible, we deployed a specialized negative-pressure floor drying system utilizing suction mats and hoses to extract trapped water from beneath the floorboards. In areas where the underlying materials were severely saturated, we carefully removed sections of the damaged hardwood to expose the wet subfloor, erected plastic containment barriers to protect unaffected rooms, and utilized commercial dehumidifiers to thoroughly dry the structural materials and prevent mold growth.
