The customer experienced a water intrusion event in their finished basement, resulting in soaked carpeting and water migrating into the wood-paneled walls, which prompted the need for professional water extraction and mitigation to prevent mold growth.
Our team initiated emergency water damage restoration by clearing the room and elevating the remaining furniture on high-density foam blocks to protect the contents and prevent further moisture absorption. We then removed the saturated carpeting, padding, and damaged baseboards to expose the wet concrete slab and rusted wood tack strips, revealing the full extent of the water migration. To effectively dry the structural materials, we drilled targeted ventilation holes along the base of the wood paneling, allowing our commercial air movers to force dry air directly into the wall cavities and thoroughly dry the hidden framework.
