The customer experienced significant water intrusion in their basement, leading to water damage in the walls, insulation, and flooring.
Our technicians arrived on site and took moisture readings in all affected areas. Contents were shifted as needed and blue blocked to allow proper airflow, and wall hangings were removed. Technicians began by removing all baseboards and door trim. They then proceeded with the removal and disposal of all affected drywall, FRP, and paneling. All impacted insulation was removed, noting that the exterior wall near the window contained three layers of insulation (foam, batt, and foam), while all other walls contained only foam insulation. After completing the wall demolition, technicians removed all affected vinyl flooring. Water was then extracted from the hard surface flooring. Wall cavities were thoroughly vacuumed. Antimicrobial was applied to all affected areas. Drying equipment was set and left in place for continued mitigation. Floors in the unfinished side of the basement were mopped using an antimicrobial solution, noting an unrelated, ongoing water intrusion in that specific area.
