An unfinished basement was affected by floodwaters, resulting in significant water damage and sediment presence.

Cousino Restoration technicians installed floor protection, moved contents, performed water extraction, cleaned up sediment, documented and disposed of non-salvageable items. Two dehumidifiers and five air movers were operated for three days. An antimicrobial solution was applied throughout the basement and on affected walls. Moisture and atmospheric readings were taken daily, and salvageable contents were wiped down with antimicrobial solution. All drying equipment was removed after final readings, despite the basement remaining cold and damp which slowed drying effectiveness.
