A pipe break at the exterior water connection caused sudden water intrusion into the finished basement and adjacent storage room, requiring emergency water extraction, sanitization, and professional structural drying.
Upon arrival, our mitigation crew extracted standing water from the concrete subfloors in the storage room and pulled moisture from the saturated carpet within the finished basement living area. We then treated all impacted surfaces, framing cavities, and flooring with a plant-based antimicrobial spray to sanitize the environment and inhibit microbial growth. To accelerate the evaporation and dehumidification process, we strategically placed six high-velocity air movers and two industrial dehumidifiers throughout the affected zones, maintaining active drying and monitoring moisture meter readings until all building materials safely reached standard moisture levels.
