This also led to material damage, including discolored materials and affected insulation, indicating potential mold growth.

The restoration team conducted an assessment to identify remaining moisture and material damage. Elevated moisture was detected in the framing and sill plates, prompting the removal of drywall in the bathroom and closet. Carpet and padding were removed from the living room, and one-foot flood cuts were performed in the bathroom and closet. Affected drywall, insulation, baseboards, and a 13-foot section of wood paneling were removed to facilitate wall cavity inspection and moisture tracking. Further demolition in the laundry room and garage involved removing additional discolored materials and affected insulation. Flooring was removed from the laundry room and bathroom, and remaining paper backing on concrete floors was scraped clean. Affected contents were thoroughly cleaned and wiped down.
